George Coover Sr Stolen Headstone at Cocklins Church Graveyard

George and Elizabeth are the two people who eloped many years before and the subject of the story – The Elopement
The original burial location is unknown but was on his farm outside of Mechanicsburg. On August 11, 1856, George’s son, John Coover, had George re-interred at Coover Farm Cemetery in a single grave with his wife Elizabeth and parents, Johann Dieterich and Catharine Kober.
